After two long days of travel, on planes, buses & one ferry, I am updating from the beach. I’ve got a bowl of Tom Yam soup beside me and some 50s rock-n-roll playing in the background. There’s a breeze and the sound of the waves crashing against the rocky shore in front of the “hotel.”
I scored a 100 Baht a night (32 baht = 1 USD) beach bungalow so I really can’t complain. I don’t know when I’ll update again, I need some relax time, and some time to work on my class assignments.
I’m probably the only person around who goes on holiday in order to do work.

How do you find these deals? I’m trying to plan a vacation over in that general direction in the spring and would love to stay at a place like the one you describe.
Help me, pretty please.
BTW, I hope you two are doing alright. See ya!
Hey T! We’re great now!
Were your ears buzzing because we were talking about you – we both agree that Thailand is a perfect fit for you!
I’ll send you some of my travel wisdom soon, although it mostly amounts to buy a ticket and go!
Are you doing okay? Haven’t heard from you in awhile and we are worried about you!
Hi! Saw you on expat-blog.
My colleagues and I were just talking yesterday how the very best job would be done from a laptop in a hammock on a tropical beach. We are in Kuala Lumpur right now, went to Thailand last year and loved it!
