What do you call these things? Cells?
They can be eaten individually, just pluck a cell off!

Hmmm I have never heard of them, are they sour like grapefruits? Nice photos too.

They are not as sour as grapefruits, the taste varies from fruit to fruit, but they can be anywhere from sweet to a little sour. You never need to add sugar like some people do with grapefruit.

I’ve only seen this fruit in Asia, never in the Americas.

Anyways, you are right, there’s plenty of that here in Asia. Have you tried the Vietnamese pomelo and shrimp salad? Oh heavenly!
