Bicycle Repairman, Linyi, China 2008

Got a flat tire or need a little repair? Every time we take our bikes out, we stop here for some air or a tightening of the handlebar screws. (Our bicycles are held together mostly by mud at this point!) Bikeman here works year round with his repair cart. He parks at the entrance to our apartment complex where the business is good. Despite the growing numbers of cars and scooters on China’s roads, bicycles are still a major form of transportation.
