Abandoned and dejected?
Looks like the Grinch forgot one of the Who’s trees… in the first floor stairwell of my apartment building in Linyi, China.

Cool blog!
Question: what is there to do in Linyi?
Hek
Hmmm What is there to do in Linyi!? I can’t recommend anyone making a special trip just to see Linyi, as there are not any specific tourist sites, however, if you find yourself in Linyi and want to know what to do, there are a few things.
Evidently a famous calligrapher was born in Linyi and there is a calligraphy museum devoted to him and also to the Art of War, a copy of which was first unearthed in Linyi. The museum is set in a park with many small buildings and a functioning Buddhist temple. Admission is 30RMB, I think. Directly behind the museum/park there is an old Christian church, but it is just for viewing from the outside, I think. Other than that, the parks along the river are nice for strolling, although there isn’t much to do there. And yea, that’s about it! Better places to visit in Shandong Province include Qufu, Tai An and Tai Shan.
Linyi is a small town that is developing, so maybe it is interesting to see the progress being made as it transitions… but not much else.
That’s a rather pitiful little tree! Thanks for the passive/aggressive website; I’m sure I’ll waste many hours perusing it!
Hi Misty! Isn’t that tree pathetic!!? It’s gone now, but on another landing I found a dejected cactus plant. You never know what you’re gonna find!
