Add in all the souvenir vendors calling out to just about everyone trying to get them into their store, people chatting on mobile phones, masses of people constantly moving, smells of bbq and restaurants wafting by… very chaotic! I’m glad that comes through in the photo because this was probably the one moment where I felt most relaxed!!

Yea, I’ve been neglecting Photo Friday the last few weeks. First I was busy and then on holiday and I find it very difficult to blog while I’m traveling. I’m not the greatest travel blogger. :0! Explosion to the senses is a great way to describe China! Sight and smells!

That’s one of the things I loved about this street – crazy busy but bursting with life & color! Especially since the buildings were generally all gray and white.

Thanks, Tim! I had my DSLR tucked away most of the day because of the rain, but brought it out at a cafe with covered outdoor seating areas and got this shot. I saw quite a few tourists with big cameras decked out in special camera “rain coats.”
