Cormorant Pose

in China, Photo Friday, Travel, Yangshuo

Cormorant Birds and Fisherman, Li River, Guangxi Province, China

It is an idyllic scene: clean, fresh water… green foliage… dramatic karsts… bamboo rafts… a fisherman on the rocky shoreline with his loyal cormorant birds.

What you don’t see:

Eager Tourists Pose With Cormorants, Li River, Guangxi Province, China

There is always more to the story! The Li River cormorant fisherman can be found at multiple stops along the river and in the city of Yangshuo down river, as well.

This is cool! Love to see those ‘the other side of the story’ pictures.

Great shot, I love the fishing villages in general. I Central America they are completely different, much more colorful and less clothes:)

There’s always more than one good picture at every scene. You’ve captured both here.

I think some of the most interesting shots come from the other side of the “action”…like a shot taken from the back of a stage into the audience during a concert or your second shot of the tourists taking photos here.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks everyone! I must agree that behind the scenes shots are fun to take and share. I am trying to visit you all on your blogs, but China’s Internet censorship is making it difficult! I will keep trying.
