Okay, here’s the scoop:

The DH traveled from Linyi to Guangzhou last month with this can of deodorant in his backpack. Linyi security didn’t ask him to remove it, so he thought it was okay. On the return leg, Guangzhou security told him he could not take it on the plane, he either had to toss it or check it. Because he had time and there was only a few sprays left in the can (so he didn’t care if it was lost), he decided to check it. Back at the check in counter, he was told he needed a box, but the only boxes available for sale were huge. Because DH loves a challenge, he asked the check in agent if he could check the can by itself. Some back and forth in-sued, wherein the DH said that there were no CAAC regulations that state the can could not be sent alone. And the check in agent realized that was true, so he just slapped the sticker on it and sent it through. Can you imagine the look on the baggage handler’s face? I can’t believe it arrived to Linyi at all, but it did! That’s my DH.

That is an absolutely hilarious and excellent story! It is a tick in the box against the ridiculous airport regulations!

I can’t believe it got through either though.

In Africa, there would be NO CHANCE of it arriving!

All the best
