Now From Yabuli

in China, Travel

What a day, what a day.

I don’t even really know where to start. The DH and I woke up at six this morning in order to try to get a train to Yabuli, China’s biggest ski resort, located about two hours southeast of Harbin. We did make the train, but with standing only seats. Luckily, we were able to purchase hard sleeper tickets on board the train.

After initially checking in to a “four star” hotel at the resort and finding it totally sucky (no Internet, one restaurant, not comfortable, zero English), we relocated to a “five star” hotel (+Internet, several restaurants, closer to slopes, more comfortable, a smattering of English) and will try some skiing tomorrow…

This is completely random, but has anyone ever told you that in some of your pictures, you sorta look like Samantha Mathis? I think you do. :)

That is totally random! LOL No one has ever told me that, but now that I think about it, I can see a little resemblance in some photos!
