I spent a great deal of time yesterday blog reading – some good stuff and some horrible stuff. Words that shall henceforth be banned from my blog: Interesting and amazing. They’re both meaningless and annoying. And I realize I use them too much. Oh, and I’m back on my global_gal Twitter account, too. Internet – I love you.

Ack! I did a quick word count of the first page on my blog. Only one “amazing” and two counts of “interesting.”

I think blogging has killed the real meaning of all superlatives.

My journalism professor in college said “interesting” the most uninteresting word, and forbade us from using it. In China, I find I use it as more of a euphemism for “unpleasant” or “unique”!

I have been very tempted to type “interesting” at least a dozen times since posting this. It’s a hard habit to break. I do know what you mean about the euphemism, though. It does come in handy!
