Food Prices

On Ni Howdy, the blog I write on my hometown (well, one of my hometowns) newspaper website, I wrote about average food prices in my local supermarket. Since I spent hours in the store writing down food prices (to the befuddlement of the staff), I thought I’d share the tables here for others interested in food prices in China.

Keep in mind, these prices are accurate as of April 2009 in a second-tier city in semi-rural China, i.e. you’re not likely to find these prices at Carrefour in Shanghai. But they will give you an idea… (and you never know, you might!)
